April 16, 2010 § Leave a comment

Library staff from the University of Plymouth, University of Bath and the University of the West of England are convening a one day conference to explore the issues around supporting and delivering library/information literacy provision for students studying HE level programmes delivered in the FE environment as part of an inter-institutional partnership. This one day event will be held at the University of the West of England in Bristol on the 26th November 2010. There will be four main themes, namely:

  • Communication and management within partnerships
  • Information Literacy and supporting an HE academic experience in FE
  • Progression/ transition
  • Programme approval and management

Any UK FE or HE staff working, or interested, in the library/LRC support of delivering HE in FE will be welcome. This event will offer an excellent opportunity for those involved to share good practice, discuss common issues, and create networks of support. We would like to invite Library and Learning Resource Centre colleagues to offer papers and workshops on aspects related to this type of engagement. Please email a brief summary of your paper or workshop to ian.collins@uwe.ac.uk or ruth.charlton@plymouth.ac.uk by 12th April 2010.
